International partners

We mainly do our international work through membership of three international labour organizations: WOW, Eurofedop and EZA.

WOW

The World Organization of Workers (WOW) is an international trade union federation of national trade unions protecting and promoting the interests of workers. Core principles in the WOW vision are that:

 

  • National and international politics should be based on democratic values and institutionseconomy should serve all man.
  • Although labour and capital are social-economic opposing forces they need to be reconciled as much as possible to the benefit of the development of a society of solidarity, social justice and peace.
  • Conflicts between workers, employers and/or governments should therefore be solved by way of social dialogue and negotiations.The basic instrument for social peace is the collective labour agreement. We have a seat in he executive committee of WOW.

Eurofedop

The principal aim of Eurofedop is to promote co-operation between public service trade unions throughout Europe and represent the interests of employees in the public service to the European Union. In order to achieve this, Eurofedop promotes the creation of a representative and pluralist European Social Dialogue, either formally or informally, in the Public Sector. We have a seat in he executive committee of Eurofedop

EZA

The European Centre for Workers' Questions is a network consisting of more than 60 workers' organisations from 20 different countries that are committed to Christian social values.

Members of EZA are educational facilities from trade unions, socio-political and socio-cultural employees' organisations, as well as research entities that deal with questions concerning employees.

EZA has two central aims:

  • The promotion of social dialogue and the discussion concerning social challenges on the European level.
  • The promotion of the social, economical and cultural development of society.

In this context EZA feels obliged to contribute to solving social questions and those concerning employees.
